Programmable Stepper Motor Controller Board
We are offering a combination of hardware (the Stepper Board) and software (the Stepper Controller) that gives hobbyists complete control of up to four stepper motors, eight switches, two LEDs and two relays from a Windows based computer.
You control from your computer through the easy to use software the motors, LEDs and relays. You can set through the Stepper Controller which switches will act as limit switches for a motor, you can start and stop motors, you set their speed; you turn LEDs on and off or have them blink and you can open or close the solid state relays.
If you are more adventurous you can write your own programs in C# using Microsoft's free development tools. Your C# programs issue commands to the Stepper Board and your PC based program can respond to changes in the switches.
Who is it for
This product is for hobbyists that build small models. Although it was originally conceived to be used with Meccano and Erector Set construction systems you can adapt it to your own needs. The small stepper motors come with mounting plates so you can fit them to your own models.
Power requirements: the board requires a 12V 3A power supply.
Board to PC connection: USB cable
Motor type: 12V, 4 phase, unipolar stepper motor. Maximum rating 250mA/phase
Solid state relays: Maximum load 40V 500mA per relay.
Operating System: the software runs on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
